The other great/handy thing about CS6 is that I can install everything at once. Plus, if I go the patching route, I would just use the most recent CC versions. The patching shit drives me nuts- it's my understanding every app would have to be repatched every time an app is updated. Not ideal, though, as I prefer to do fresh (re)installations of major OS updates. He upgraded to Sierra (NOT a fresh install, just a 'regular' upgrade) and all the CS6 apps still seem to work ok. I installed CS6 on a friend's computer running El Capitan. Has Adobe changed something on their end in the last few months rendering this procedure unusable? Anybody else having this problem? The way you do it, is you need to set up a new class and override the CWnd class. I have looked into it deeper (sorry it took me so long) but I see that there is a way to create a custom control in MFC. How do I find the serial number for my Adobe product that I purchased from the Mac App store? I've reviewed the FAQ, help, and forums, but can't find an answer specific to products purchased from Mac App store.
Retrieve mac adobe applications serial numbers for reinstallation. The problem is that when I go into any CS6 prog I see 'Deactivate' is greyed out (which should not be) All works great offline but as soon as I re-connect to the internet and go into CS6 I get a message saying 'the licence you entered has been revoked, this product is not licensed' provide a serial number etc. I then pasted 'all' the script into the hosts file BUT did not remove the Adobe stuff already in there for fear of losing CS5.5.
Been running AMC CS5.5 for about a year with no issues so thought I'd give CS6 a bash - all went OK with Dload and it accepted XForce generated licence and the request code worked a treat.
